Original Research Reflection (Ella)

My original research data heavily supported the conclusion that drag has a positive effect on the progression of queer rights. The conclusion, drag has a positive effect on racial equality, was not as well-supported from the data, but was somewhat supported.

The original research process has had its ups and downs. The ups were that I obtained helpful data for my thesis paper, that I was able to learn new skills such as survey writing, and that I was able to get some insight on the perspectives of my school community. The downs were that I learned my house’s internet was too poor to stream YouTube videos, that Plan A’s don’t always work out, and that developing a strong research methodology takes a lot of time and patience.

Overall, I am very happy with how my original research turned out! It will be extremely useful in the development of my thesis paper, and the skills I obtained from performing this research will be helpful for future research endeavors.
